About Clair Yates, Yoga, Psychotherapy, Wellbeing
Welcome! I’m an accessible yoga and meditation teacher, therapist and breath coach with 15 years experience and am currently adding psychotherapy to my tool box. I specialise in pelvic health for women and men and teach tools and techniques for physical, mental and emotional health, through practical yoga and meditation classes, courses and therapy sessions.
Both my teaching and therapy is trauma-informed and I have experience in working with adults with injuries, acquired disabilities, neurodivergence and wellbeing issues like anxiety and depression. Anyone who walks or rolls through my door is welcome.
I work hard to make my yoga classes feel friendly and inclusive, my teaching is trauma-informed and for every body. I have lots of equipment at both locations to help make the physical practices accessible. Each class is made up of a physical practice, breath awareness, meditation and relaxation. I theme my classes around the seasons and the moon cycles to help us feel grounded, centred and connected.
Looking for yoga to help with something specific? You can chat to me to find out which class would work better for you, the possibility of private sessions or take a look at my online courses which are tailored to specific issues, like yoga for pelvic health.
The type of psychotherapy I practice and am training in, is Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy, combining the physical practices, the grounding, the regulating tools and the self awareness that yoga brings with the safe space of therapy, the fresh listening ear and the time to unfold and gain insight. This is a combination that can hold you, help you to feel safe enough to shine a light into dark corners, release old wounds and enable you to find understanding, healing and hope.
Contact me to discuss your needs and see how we can work together.
I look forward to hearing from you.
